We are pleased to present the next workshop in our series on:
Thursday, July 21, 2005 – 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
(See below for the full seminar agenda and meeting information)
· Learn Federal and State Laws regarding sexual harassment
· Receive information about the correction of sexual harassment and remedies for victims
· Practical examples aimed at instructing supervisors in the prevention of harassment, discrimination and retaliation
Assembly Bill 1825 mandates employers with 50 or more employees to provide 2 hours of training and education to all supervisory employees by the end of 2005, unless the employer has provided harassment prevention training to employees after January 1, 2003. This training must have met the requirements of AB 1825 or training meeting the requirements must be provided to these employees before January 1, 2006. Beginning on January 1, 2006, the employer must provide all supervisory employees with the mandated training once every two years.
The law does not specify that the 50 employees must be within the state - the law applies to California employers with 50 total employees or independent contractors including those outside the state, even if headquarters are outside California. For example, if an employer has 40 employees and regularly has 10 temporary workers, the employer is covered.
         Thursday, July 21st – 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Continental breakfast will be served
