Recruiting Director with Hospital Staffing Experience

A full-service medical and surgical facility, providing quality healthcare to the residents of Central California for over 70 years is in need of an experienced Recruiting Director that can manage and direct explosive growth by utilizing dynamic strategies to recruit and retain hospital staff of all levels.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising a team of up to five recruiters and have the vision to create an ongoing pool of candidates to hire. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the People Center, the Director of Recruiting will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic plan to meet the increasing staffing needs of the entire organization, ensuring continual quality improvement and fiscal accountability. Staffing needs will range from 300 to 400 hires per year.

This medical center is excited to bring on board a forward thinking professional that can set up matrix and create new processes and procedures to successfully attract candidates to the organization to perform the following duties:

  • Responsible for the overall planning and implementation of a recruiting program designed to meet their hiring needs.
  • Direct and implement the recruitment program to meet organizational goals, objectives, policies and procedures in-line with the strategic plan and department/project budgets.
  • Manage, hire and evaluate staff to achieve objectives, and productivity targets.
  • Utilize sound judgment and provide rationale for decisions based on critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with members of the Recruiting Team, the People Center and Hiring Managers.
  • Demonstrate and impart a high level of recruiting expertise to assist team members with business and personal career goals, creating a strong sense of leadership and collegiality.
  • Ensure polices and procedures comply with all state and federal hiring practices and that new hires have the appropriate certifications and licensing required by law.

We are looking for someone who is decisive and resourceful with the willingness to accept responsibility and take charge of results; able to work successfully in a demanding environment and accept constructive criticism.

A self-starter who is confident enough to express opinions, forging ahead when appropriate and holding back when necessary. An energetic person who is emotionally mature and dependable; a collegial individual with a sense of humor. Able to embrace existing and new recruiting philosophies and technology to improve efficiency and effect productivity.
College degree is a must, stability and longevity, as well as hospital recruiting and management experience.

Generous relocation package available, salary range $90K to $100k depending on experience, incentive packages available.
